Before use
Remove the packaging material, stickers and similar from the appliance. Set the
thermostat at the max temperature according to the instructions given in “Steam
ironing” and iron on a towel or similar a few minutes to remove any possible
impurities from the soleplate. Please note that it is normal that a special smell
may occur from the iron the first time it is heated. This will disappear within short.
There may even be particles emitting from the steam holes on the soleplate the
first time you use the iron, which is quite normal.
When the steam station is activated, you may hear a pumping sound from the
appliance. This is because water is being pumped into the steam generator.
