When all vacuum cleaner parts are installed and the cord has been unwound to the required length and
applied to a power socket, the vacuum cleaner is ready for use. Press the On / off foot pedal (J) to switch
on the vacuum cleaner.
Suction power regulatord
The suction power can be regulated to adjust to the object of cleaning or how dirty it is.
Suction power is regulated by means of the button on the vacuum cleaner (I).
MIN: Use for delicate surfaces and material such as curtains, etc.
MAX: Use for e.g. fitted carpets.
Suction power regulator on the handle
The suction regulator on the handle (C) is ideal for brief reductions in suction power. The air inlet valve
can be manually adjusted to let the nozzle slide easily over the material. REMEMBER to push the valve
shut again for optimal results.
Parking system
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with two parking systems; temporary (short term) and permanent (long
term) parking.
The temporary parking system is used if you wish to put down the vacuum cleaner during cleaning, e.g.
to move a piece of furniture. The hook on the back of the floor brush is placed in the holder (H) located
on the back of the vacuum cleaner.
The permanent parking system is used when you have finished vacuum cleaning and wish to put the
vacuum cleaner away. The hook on the telescopic tube is placed in the holder located underneath the
main body.
Dustbag full indicator
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a dustbag full indicator (L). This indicates when the dustbag needs
to be replaced.
The indicator is a small lamp that switches on when the dustbag needs to be replaced. When the lamp
turns red, it is important to replace the dustbag, even if it is not completely full, as the indicator reacts
to the air flow.
The indicator measures the air flow of the dustbag. If air flow is low, the vacuum cleaner will regard this
as a full dustbag and the indicator will be activated.
If the indicator is still activated after you have replaced the dustbag, this may be a sign
-
that air flow through hose, tube, air intake duct, or brush is blocked. Check where the clogging is
and remove it before switching on the vacuum cleaner again.
-
that the motor filter is dirty/clogged and should be replaced (see section about this later on)
-
that the exhaust filter is dirty/clogged and should be replaced (see section about this later on)
Do not use the vacuum cleaner when the dustbag full indicator is activated. Make sure to replace the
dustbag immediately instead.
How to replace the dustbag
To replace the dustbag, switch off the vacuum cleaner and remove the plug from the power socket.
Open the lid to the dust compartment by pulling the handle (K) on the front of the vacuum cleaner. Then
remove the dustbag by pulling it out of the holder in the dust compartment. The bag is equipped with an
additional closing mechanism preventing dust from escaping the bag when it has been removed from
the vacuum cleaner. Pull the middle piece of the cardboard collar to close the bag. You can now dispose
of the dustbag.
