• Buildings with very thick walls or constructions containing steel or reinforced
concrete.
• The clock is placed close (usually within 1.5 metres) to electric units such as
TV sets, a PC or similar.
• The transmitter is temporarily out of service due to maintenance, thunder
storm or similar.
• The clock is placed outside the transmitter’s range (outside a radius of about
1500 km from the transmitter in Frankfurt).
If reception conditions are poor, the clock should be placed near a window
facing south. If the clock does still not receive a signal by the end of the day,
we recommend that you place the clock in a window overnight.
During the night, noise interferences are less distinct and consequently the
chances for successful reception of the radio signal are bigger. The clock will
continue to work as usual (if it has been set manually).
Settings
Do as follows to set the calendar and the time functions of the clock:
Make sure that the alarm clock receives a radio signal or that the radio signal
has been manually turned off by pressing the – button.
Note that the settings should be made within 30 seconds. If not, they will
be lost. Press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds. Now the following
settings can be made:
