10. The appliance must not be immersed in water or
any other liquids. Never use the appliance with
humid hands and do not position the appliance on
a wet or humid surface.
11. Always unplug the appliance from the mains
supply immediately after use, if the appliance is
used in a bathroom, as water presents a hazard
even when the appliance has been switched off.
12. Always examine appliance, cord and plug
for damage before use. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer
or his service agent or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid a hazard.
13. For additional protection we recommend the
installation of a residual current device (RCD) with
a rated residual operating current not exceeding
30 mA. Ask your installer for advice.
14. The appliance is for domestic use only.
15. If the appliance is used for other purposes than
intended, or is it not handled in accordance with
the instruction manual, the full responsibility for
any consequences will rest with the user. Any
damage of the product or other things is not
covered by the warranty.
Use
Make sure your hair is completely dry and comb it through. If you have very
long or thick hair, it may be easier to use hair clips to section your hair.
Plug the appliance into a wall socket. You will hear a beep. Switch the
appliance on by pressing and holding the switch on the edge of the handle
until another beep is heard and the preset temperature (150) is shown on the
display. The display then immediately starts to show the temperature increase.
The temperature can easily be adjusted by pressing the temperature selector
b/- until the required temperature (150-230°C) flashes on the display.
If no button is pressed for 10 seconds, the button lock is activated (the lock
