•
Attach the white or black cover to the sensor as de-
sired.
•
Attach the suction cup to the sensor if the sensor
is to be fastened to the aquarium wall where it is
visible.
•
Completely immerse the heater in the aquarium
water and fit the sensor.
•
Position the heating element as far as possible
from the sensor.

• Position the unit next the aquarium or on the floor.
• Connect the heater to a separate socket of the
PowerPod marked "HEATER".
The PowerPod can replace the biOrb plug-in trans-
former completely, i.e. the biOrb lighting unit and the
biOrb aerator pump can also be connected here.
How to proceed:
•
Connect the lighting unit to the separate socket of
the PowerPod marked "LIGHT".
• Connect the aerator pump to the separate socket
of the PowerPod marked "AIR PUMP".
COMMISSIONING/START-UP

Ensure that all connection cables leading to the
PowerPod form a drip loop before switching on.
• Switching on: Connect the unit to the mains. The
unit switches on immediately.

The green LED on the heating element lights up.
–
The red LED on the sensor lights up for 5 s, ex-
tinguishes for 3 s and then flashes to indicate
the water temperature.
• Reading off the water temperature:
Flashing frequency
First flash - long Degrees in tens
Second flash - short Degrees in ones
Example
1 × long and 8 × short 18 °C

After display of the water temperature, the red
LED on the sensor is lit until the water reaches
the specified temperature of 24.5 °C.
• Switching off: Disconnect the unit from the mains.
CLEANING
If necessary, clean the unit with clear water using a
soft sponge or cloth.
