USING THE CHRONOGRAPH (cont.)

TO START TIMING:

Press the START/LAP

button. The display shows running time at
1/100-second calibration. When the timer
exceeds 1 hour on the D2 wristwatch, hours
are shown in small digits (above minutes in
the display). With D3, the display changes
to show hours, minutes and full seconds
when the timer exceeds 1 hour.

TO MARK A LAP:

Press the START/LAP

button. The lap number, lap time and split
time are displayed for 5 seconds as the
timer continues. The display then returns to
the current lap time and total run time.

TO RECALL THE LAST LAP/SPLIT:

Press

the REVERSE button at any time during the
run. After 3 seconds, the display returns to
the current lap time and total run time,
which are not affected.

TO PAUSE:

Press the STOP/RESET button.

The timer stops and marks the current lap.
The total time for the current lap and the
total run time appear in the display. To
continue timing the current run with the
next lap, press the START/LAP button.

TO STORE DATA AND RESET:

Press the

STOP/RESET button to stop the timer, then
press and hold the STOP/RESET button for
2 seconds. The current run is stored in
memory and the timer is reset to zero,
ready to record a new run.

TO DELETE THE LAST RUN:

(If the timer

is still running, press the STOP/RESET
button. If the timer has not been reset to
zero, press and hold the STOP/RESET
button for 2 seconds.) With the timer reset
and showing run numbers at the top of the
display, press and hold the DELETE button
for 2 seconds to delete the last run.

USING THE CHRONOGRAPH

A run is a timed session that consists of a number of laps. Each lap has its own timed
length.  A split is the total elapsed time from the beginning of the run to the present
moment, or the combined sum of all previous lap times.

Lap times appear in the upper display (Figure 1: a). Split times appear beneath the menu bar
(Figure 1: b). Each run (including all lap and split times) is automatically stored in the data memory. 

Press the MODE button repeatedly until “CHRONO” appears in the menu bar (Figure 1: c). To
view the amount of free memory (Figure 2), press the STOP/RESET button while the chronograph
display is set to zero. The chronograph for the D2 wristwatch can store 100 lap times and log 50
separate runs; the chronograph for D3 can store 90 lap times and log 45 separate runs.
