10.1

Tender

Arctic Star has a four-person Apex center-console
inflatable tender with a 20 horsepower four-stroke
Nissan outboard motor. A gasoline tank, starting battery,
oars and a few spare parts are carried onboard the
tender. The tender is lifted from its bunk on top of the
sun deck and launched with an electric winch and
hydraulic davit that pivots over the starboard side. This
inflatable tender has two plugs that must be secured in
the transom:

1.

One plug is at the bottom of the transom and is inserted and
secured from the outside

2.

The second plug is hidden by the outboard motor and
bracket. This plug is inserted from under the helm seat.

You must be wearing a PFD whenever you, or your crew is in or
boarding the tender.
