6. Remove the lip valve (6) by gently pulling downwards. [Fig. F]
5. Cleaning
Hygiene is of priority when handling breast milk and all parts that come into contact with it. The pump should
therefore only be used in a clean and sanitized condition. All accessories and parts must be thoroughly cleaned
before and after each use.
Note:
Prior to first use, clean the Breast Milk Container (7) and Nipple (10) by boiling in water for 5 minutes.
1. Wash all parts using plenty of hot water and liquid dishwashing soap, then rinse with hot water for 10 to 15
seconds. Only the Breast Milk Container (7), Nipple (10), and Seal Disk (11) are suitable for dishwashers, but
please note that slight discoloration of the materials may occur.
Note:
When boiling, always check that there is sufficient liquid in the pan in order to avoid damaging the
nipple and bottles.
Caution:
Do not use a microwave to sanitize, as the material may be damaged.
Important:
The accessories and parts must be allowed to cool fully before using again.
6. Assembly
1. Insert the pump rod (4) into the silicone membrane (5).
2. Insert the assembled silicone membrane (5) and rod (4) into the breast shield (2). [Fig. G]
3. Attach the pump lever (3) by guiding the pump rod (4) through the slit (3a) [Fig. I] then clip the clips (3b) to the
connector bar (2a).
4. Press the lip valve (6) onto the lower opening of the breast shield (2). [Fig. J]
5. Screw the assembled pump unit to the breast milk container (7). [Fig. K]

7. Instructions for Use
7.1 Operation
1. Please ensure your hands and breasts are always clean. To be sure of the necessary hygiene, you should
wash your hands thoroughly each time before expressing.
2. Position the breast shield on the breast so that the nipple is in the center of the silicone cushion (1) and/or
breast shield (2). This can help prevent the nipple from becoming sore. The bottle must be held vertically so
that the milk lows into the bottle.
3. Squeeze the pump lever (3) and then release it again slowly, while keeping the breast shield firmly against
the breast to ensure a good seal.
Tip:
You can change the frequency of pumping to help mimic your baby’s suckling action simply by
compressing the lever in a quick rapid pattern or longer slower sequences.
4. After expressing, place the breast pump upright and take caution that the unit does not topple over. Correct
expressing needs practice. You should first become accustomed to your new pump. If you experience
difficulty nursing, contact your medical professional.
7.2 Frequency of Expressing
The frequency of expressing depends on your individual situation. If you will be apart from your baby and/or
want to sustain milk production, the natural breastfeeding rhythm should be maintained. You should therefore
express 6 to 8 times daily, including once during the night. In all other cases you should express entirely to suit
your own individual needs.
