 Further use-cases

Adding a subwoofer

If you want to add a subwoofer to your nuPro speaker, you can

connect it to the sub out output. This output provides the subwoof-

er with a low-pass filtered, summed mono signal. You can set the

crossover frequency for the subwoofer in the menu advan-ced /

subwoofer. The cut-off frequency for the nuPro speaker is adjusted

in the SYS HP menu (see page 8). The relative level of the sub-

woofer must be set on the subwoofer itself.

Single-speaker applications

When delivered, each nuPro reproduces the left channel of a ste-

reo signal and can thus be operated without any problems. Howev-

er, if it is to reproduce a mono sum signal, the following configura-

tion must be done:

Select SINGLE in the SETUP menu item. Then you can navigate

to the CHANNL menu item and select the MONO entry. (For more

information, see also page 8)

Multi-speaker applications

(see illustration below)

To supply a larger number of nuPro active loudspeakers with the

same signal, the connection from

link out

 to

spdif in

 can be per-

formed  repeatedly.  In  this  case  it  is  recommended  to  configure

each nuPro individually and therefore to select the entry SINGLE

in the menu item SETUP. Then you can navigate to the menu item

CHANNL and select the channel that the respective nuPro should

play back. (For further information see page 8).

Note:

In the SINGLE configuration, the link-output outputs the se-

lected input signal as an SPDIF signal, making it possible to dai-

sy-chain a virtually unlimited number of speakers.

Connecting a nuPro pair to a preamplifier

In addition to connecting a preamplifier to a nuPro pair in master-

slave mode, an external preamplifier can also be connected directly

to each individual nuPro active loudspeaker. As with conventional

active loudspeakers without master-slave functionality, the boxes

can then be configured independently of each other. Connect the

output of the left channel of your preamplifier to the nuPro on the

left and the output of the right channel to the nuPro on the right.

Note:

Use the left input (aux L) of each nuPro speaker. Do not con-

nect the loudspeakers to each other with the SPDIF coaxial cable.
