Introduction
The FW106 FireWire Repeater Hub provides the electronic interface between IEEE 1394a compatible devices and a host
computer. Up to 63 FireWire IEEE1394a compatible peripheral devices can be connected including devices for nonlinear (digital)
video presentation and editing, desktop and commercial publishing, document imaging, home multimedia and personal computing.
An IEEE1394a compatible port on a host computer will support each of these applications simultaneously through this hub. The
FW106 FireWire Repeater Hub offers a true plug and play environment to satisfy growing system accessibility needs. Individual
cable lengths are limited to 15 feet (4.5 meters) but the distance from the computer to the device can be extended to 235 feet (72
meters) when multiple FW106 FireWire Repeater Hubs are used.
