RECOGNITION OF LICENSE PLATES
The "Blocked Area" tab allows you to disable some parts of the recognition area. This option is useful
in a situation when it is impossible to avoid the presence of unwanted plates, inscriptions (e.g.
advertising signs) in the recognition field, which could be treated by the camera as a license plate and
cause false recognition. Setting a blocked area in these places excludes these areas from recognition,
thus avoiding false recognition.
The "
Schedule
" menu allows you to configure the work schedule for the license plate recognition
function. It is possible to create a schedule for each day of the week individually and also add your own
holidays with a separate schedule.
The "
Vehicle database
" menu allows you to configure and manage the license plate database.
Adding a license plate
Pressing the "Add" button will display the menu for adding a plate to the license plate database:
Enter the registration number and select the list to which the added plate will be added ("Allow list",
"Block list" or "Unknown vehicle" are available). Then, by the "Start Time" and "End Time" options
define the validity period of the registration number, that is, the time period in which the given number
will be used for comparison with the license plates recognized by the camera. Filling in the fields
"Owner" and "License Plate Type" is optional. Pressing the "Save" button saves the changes.
The "Bulk Entry" button displays the menu for adding more license plates to the camera bases at the
same time. Registration numbers along with the necessary data are added in the form of a CSV file.
Below the selection of the file to add, a short tutorial on how to format the CSV file is displayed. The
guide also allows you to download a sample file.
Up to four areas can be set.
Registration numbers should only be entered in capital letters with no spaces. This is a necessary
condition for the correct comparison of the entered number with the recognized license plate.
It is possible to save 10,000 license plates (in total).
