Here are the answers to some questions you might ask when using 
your Novolin-Pen® 4.

No insulin appears
at the needle tip
when I check the
insulin flow
(prime).

The needle may be blocked.

Continue priming until a droplet of insulin appears. 
If no insulin appears change to a new needle.

Screw on a new needle and check the insulin flow
(prime) until insulin appears at the needle tip 
(see pages 9 to 11).

Turn the dose button until the number of units you need
lines up with the dose indicator.
