Cooling tubing connections
To connect cooling tubing, refer to Figure 1-4 and perform the following steps. The numbered items in
Figure 1-4 correspond to the step numbers in the following procedure.
Figure 1-4 cooling connections
1.
Cut and connect a length of tubing to fit between the chiller’s Outlet port and the upper WATER
IN port on the rear of the v40 laser.
2.
Cut and connect a length of tubing to fit between the lower WATER OUT port on the rear of the
laser and the chiller’s Inlet port.
3.
Turn on the chiller and adjust the temperature setpoint to 18–22 °C. Regulate coolant flow to 1.0
GPM (3.8 lpm) at less than 60 PSI (4.1 bar) of pressure.
Caution: Possible Equipment Damage
Operating the laser at coolant temperatures above 22 °C (72 °F) may result in decreased
performance and/or premature failure of electronic components.
Caution: Possible Equipment Damage
Inlet cooling water temperature must always be maintained above the dew point to prevent
condensation and water damage to your laser.
