Alarms:
All alarms except
Loss of GPS fix
can be
turned on (enabled) or off (disabled).
For all alarms select
to turn the alarm on or
select
to turn the alarm off.
For most alarms there is a trigger value. The
alarm will sound each time the alarm value equals
the trigger value. For example, the
Danger
alarm will sound if the boat comes closer to a
danger waypoint than the trigger value and the
Anchor
alarm will sound if the boat moves by
more than the trigger value.
Icons for alarms that are on can be displayed in
the data header (see section 2-8-2). An alarm icon
is normally black and turns red when the alarm
sounds.

Alarm
Alarm sounds when it is on and the:
Arrival radius
boat is closer to the destination or to a waypoint than the alarm
trigger value
Anchor alarm
boat moves by more than the alarm trigger value
XTE
boat moves off course by more than the CDI scale
(see section 15-2)
Danger
boat comes closer to a danger waypoint than the alarm trigger
value
Loss of DGPS fi x
557/567 can not receive the DGPS signal
(beacon, WAAS or EGNOS)
Loss of GPS fi x
557/567 can not receive the GPS signal (this alarm is always on)
Loss of AIS receiver
communication
557/567 is no longer receiving communication from the AIS
receiver (Alarm is on when AIS is enabled)
Dangerous vessel
The TCPA/CPA of another vessel is less than the trigger values
(see section 13)
Low battery
Battery voltage is less than the alarm trigger value
Low fuel
Low fuel remaining equals the alarm trigger value; on a multi-
tank boat you can set separate alarms for each tank
(see section 10-4)
