Installation
Connecting the dc Input Supply
The optional dc input supply is connected to the 15-way D-type Facilities connector as follows:
External dc input (+) to Facilities connector (CN1) pin 11
External dc input (-) to Facilities connector (CN1) pin 12.
Connecting a Tape Output
A transmit/receive single-ended audio connection at a maximum level of 6 V peak-to-peak is available
on the Facilities connector to drive an external tape recorder. If this facility is required, the audio output
is taken from the Facilities connector (CN1) pin 15.
Connecting an External Cradle Switch
A hand microphone is supplied as part of the standard T6MC controller installation. A telephone type
handset can be used instead of the standard microphone. The telephone type handset normally rests on
a cradle when not in use; received signals are heard through the controller's internal loudspeaker. When
the handset is removed from the cradle, the internal loudspeaker is switched off and reception monitored
through the handset.
If this facility is to be used, the following configuration is required:
Link LK3 must be removed from the controller's PCB (see
Connect the cradle switch to the Facilities connector (CN1) pins 13 and 14 (see
)
Connect the handset, terminated with a 7-pin DIN plug as detailed in
