The!ground!distance!covered!starting!from!an!approach!at!50!ft.!above!the!runway!
elevation!to!where!the!aircraft!can!be!stopped!determines!landing!distance.!

Land!into!the!wind!and!on!a!long!approach!if!at!all!possible.!
You!can!land!a!trike!safely!with!or!without!power.!Either!way!you!will!need!to!maintain!
an!air!speed!higher!than!normal!trim!speed.!You!will!need!to!adjust!the!approach!speed!
for!the!conditions!you!are!flying!in.!The!general!rule!is:!the!more!active!air!the!more!
airspeed.!!

Cross#Wind#Landings#and#Take#Off#

Beginners!and!novice!pilots!should!limit!crosswind!conditions!to!less!then!30!degrees!
and!5!mph!with!no!gust!factor,!anything!more!then!that!requires!more!advanced!skills.!
For!advanced!pilots,!90!degree!crosswinds!over!5!mph!should!be!avoided.!Crosswind!
component!with!more!then!5!mph!gust!should!be!avoided!as!well.!
