Care and Maintenance
• Clean the top of the lantern (solar cell and sensor) regularly with a soft sponge
and lukewarm water with detergent. Never use solvents.
• Take the lights indoors during winter and store them in a cool dry place.
• Remove the batteries and charge them if the lights are not to be used for
a long time, see next section.
Inserting/removing the rechargeable batteries
The garden lights are powered by two rechargeable
AA/LR6 batteries (1.2 V, 900 mA).
1. Turn top of the light cover anti-clockwise until
it releases, lift it up and turn it upside down.
2. Remove the fluted lens by turning it anti-
clockwise.
3. Pinch the sides of the battery covers and
remove them.
4. Remove/replace the rechargeable batteries
according to the markings in the battery
compartments.
5. Assemble in reversed order.
Warning:
NEVER use alkaline or zinc-carbon dry cell
batteries in the garden light. Use only rechargeable
NiMH batteries (1.2 V, 900 mA).
The rechargeable batteries are consumable goods
and are not covered by the guarantee.
Protect the environment
Dispose of your waste responsibly, sort and recycle where possible.
All machines, hoses and packing material should be sorted and handled
according to local environmental regulations. Remove the NiMH batteries
before discarding the light, follow local ordinances regarding their disposal.
