Connection requirements

Refer to the following tablesfor connector pin assignments. 

Required cables:

1000 BASE-T ports:

For 1000 Mb/s operation: Category 5 UTP cable

Console port:

Serial cable with DB-9 female connector on one end

GBIC and Mini-GBIC 
ports:

Varies with the installed GBIC or mini-GBIC; refer to the documentation that 
was shipped with the GBIC for specifications.
