15. Install washers and nuts on the other tie rods when it becomes possible,
screw the two side tie rods the rest of the way in, then tighten all the
nuts evenly in a criss-cross pattern. The pressure housing, middle
housing, and solvent chamber must remain square to each other while
tightening the nuts.
16. Torque the nuts (26) to 120 N
S
m (88.5 ft-lbs), then install the cap
nuts (27) and tighten them to the same torque.
17. If you removed the check valve, install the seal (21) over the threads of
the check valve (22), then coat the first couple threads with pipe thread
sealant/adhesive. Screw the check valve into the outlet port and tighten
it securely.
18. If you removed the drain valve (5), coat the threads with pipe thread
sealant/adhesive, screw it into the solvent chamber, and tighten it
securely.
Air Motor Repair

Tools and Materials Required
Have the following tools and materials available:

Metric open-end wrench set
S
Metric socket wrench set
S
Screwdriver set
S
Punch set, with 15 and 20-mm punches
S
Retaining ring pliers
S
Rubber mallet
S
O-ring grease, Parker O-Lube or equivalent (p/n 900223)
S
Removable threadlock adhesive, Loctite 242 or equivalent
(p/n 900464)
S
Hydraulic pipe thread sealant/adhesive (p/n 900481)
NOTE:
Use O-ring grease (Parker O-Lube or equivalent) whenever
instructed to “grease” a part.
Preparation
1. Turn off the compressed air supply; relieve the air and fluid pressure.
2. Disconnect the air line, and the filter/regulator/lubricator, if attached to
the air motor.
3. Remove the pump from its mounting and move it to a clean workbench.
4. Disconnect the hydraulic section from the air motor. Refer to

for instructions on how to do this.
