11.2 Problems with the device
Symptom Possiblecause/Remedy
Device won't turn on. Connect the device to the power mains.
No sound can be heard. Increase the volume. It's possible that the wrong
source has been selected.
I can hear static interference. Near the device, a mobile phone or other device
is emitting radio waves that are interfering.
Remove the mobile phone or the device from
the vicinity of the radio.
There are other malfunctions, loud noise
or interference in the display.
There is a problem with the device's electronic
components. Remove the plug from the
socket. Leave the device unplugged for about
10seconds. Re-connect the device with the
powermains.
The display won't turn on. Turn off the device. Remove the plug from the
socket, re-insert the plug, turn on the device.
CD skips or the device can't recognise the
CD.
CD is dirty. Clean the CD.
Device can't recognise a USB stick. Format the USB stick in FAT 32. If necessary, try
using a different USB stick.
