The device won’t turn on.
The batteries are depleted.

compartment is missing or
damaged.

A sensor fault exists (disconnect,
failure, misalignment, or

Verify that the sensor is
correctly connected to the
device and the patient; replace
sensor if the condition persists.
Dashes are displayed in

and Pulse
Rate displays.
No signal is detected because the
sensor is not plugged in.
Verify the sensor connections.
Sensor failure.
Replace the sensor.
Numeric displays are
blinking at once per
