If you do not use your NOKO for an extended period, we recommend that
you keep it away from rain, snow, sun and other adverse conditions. After a
ride in the rain, with the help of a cloth dry your NOKO and its components
in order to prevent the corrosion of the materials.
Some of the components, such as belt, chain, rear derailleur and inner ca-
bles, could undergo a bedding-in process after the first hours/kilometres
of usage; for this reason, a further adjustment could be necessary.
The battery of you NOKO may show signs of wear due to use over time
and/or due to incorrect use. The battery life may be reduced and replace-
ment may be required.
11.2 CARE OF YOUR NOKO.
CLEANING YOUR NOKO.
It is recommended to always remove any fouling, grease, mud, etc., which
can damage your NOKO .
Do not use a pressure washer for quick cleaning because the
strong jet of water could ruin and irreversibly damage some
components of the bike, including adhesives.
Prefer an hand cleaning with a light jet of water and the help of a sponge to
remove dirt from the affected parts. Use specific non-aggressive products
so as not to damage the frame and other components of the bike.
CHAIN MAINTENANCE.
A bike chain is subject to wear. The correct maintenance of the chain im-
plies the proper functioning of your NOKO .
We advise you to regularly check the state of the chain, and replace it when
necessary. For regular maintenance and replacement, visit a specialised
service center. As an indicative range, we suggest to replace the chain once
reached 5000 km, approximately; furthermore, factors such as maintenance
and usage, contributes to the chain wear.
MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
It is advisable to clean the chain with a specific degreasing agent, in order
to remove any dirt; and to dry the chain with a cloth.
After each wash, it is recommended to lubricate the chain links, previous-
ly cleaned, with a specific bike lubricant, in order to preserve the correct
functioning of chain and gear.
Pay attention that the lubricant does not leak and contaminate
the disc brake and/or on the brake pads, to avoid impairing the
functionality of the brakes.
After riding your NOKO in the rain, remember to clean and dry the chain
with a cloth.
BELT MAINTENANCE.
Regarding NOKO e-bikes with belt drive, for a correct maintenance of the
belt we recommend regularly wash it with water, in order to remove any
dirt. It is not required to use any specific products.
BRAKING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE.
For ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the braking system, we advise
you to regularly visit a specialized service center, even if working properly.
For your personal safety, and for the health of the braking system, we rec-
ommend to periodically check the state of the brake pads, and to replace
them before uneven wear.
Regularly, and after each wash, remember to visually verify the state of the
brake pads. It should not manifest any contamination, vitrification, and has
to maintain a certain thickness, in order to assure that the brake pads do
not come into contact with the disc brake.
Lack of maintenance and replacement of the worn pads, can dam-
age the disc brake and reduce the brakes reactivity.
