WHILE OPERATING MACHINE

1.

Always operate the machine with caution when
burnishing around walls and obstacles.

2.

Always reduce speed to maintain control when
turning.

3.

Stay clear of floor obstructions, such as electrical
plates or grates, they will destroy pad. Tilt machine
back to avoid floor obstructions.

NOTE: For safety, when machine is tilted on its rear
wheels, power to the pad motor automatically shuts off.

4.

Change or turn the pads over when worn or soiled.

5.

Check the pad pressure meter reading
periodically. Adjust meter within the green zone.

ATTENTION: Do not operate the machine with the
pad pressure meter adjusted in the red zone, floor
damage and brush motor overload will result.

6.

Check the battery meter’s discharge level
periodically. When the meter’s needle drops into
the yellow caution zone, stop burnishing and
recharge the batteries (Figure 16).

ATTENTION: Do not operate machine with the
battery meter in the red zone, battery damage may
result.

7.  If the pad motor circuit breaker should trip, reduce

the pad pressure and/or replace soiled pad (See
CIRCUIT BREAKERS).

FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing
machine, stop on level surface and turn off
machine.

FOR SAFETY: When transporting machine, do not
lift machine if batteries are installed.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire,

explosion or personal injury, do not use
flammable liquids or operate machine in or near
flammable vapors/liquids or combustible dusts,
as the electric motor will spark upon start up and
during operation which could cause a flash fire or
explosion. This machine is not equipped with an
explosion proof motor.

CIRCUIT BREAKERS

The machine is equipped with two resettable circuit
breakers (Main Power–15A / Pad Motor–80A) and one
fuse (Control Board–2A, drive Model) to protect
machine from damage.
If the pad motor circuit breaker should trip, determine
cause, allow motor to cool, then reset. The pad motor
circuit breaker will trip due to excessive pad motor
overload. Change the pad or reduce the pad pressure
if the pad motor circuit breaker should trip.
When replacing the 2A fuse, never substitute a higher
fuse than specified. The Main Power Circuit Breaker
and Control Board Fuse is located at the rear of the
control console. The Pad Motor Circuit Breaker is
located under the battery hood at front of machine
(Figure 17).

EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON
(Drive Model – Option)

To stop the machine in the event of an emergency, hit
the red emergency stop button located at rear of
control console. The emergency stop button
immediately stops all power to machine.

To reset emergency stop button, shut off all switches
and turn red button to the right. Resume normal
operation (Figure 18). Order part number #612971 for
field install kit.
