This position in degree 0 or slope 0 on the horizontal plan as well as on the vertical plan can be marked with a beep by pressing the key
(useful when there is no direct vision on the level).
IMPORTANT:
the level has an automatic inversion of the fi gures so that easy reading is always possible even when the unit is upside
down.
Installing / replacing the batteries
Carefully withdraw the lid of the battery housing, place the battery in the lid, connect the battery and insert
the whole in its housing. The battery should be replaced when the LCD display brightness is weak.
Maintenance and cleaning
Do not immerse the level in water. Clean it with a damp cloth to remove dust. Do not use
chemical cleaners or detergents.
Calibration
1. Calibration test
In case of chock, after falling for example, the level precision should be controlled according
to the following procedure: start the level, place it on a horizontal surface. Wait for 15
seconds and note what is shown on the display. Turn it by 180° degree, wait again for 15
seconds and then compare the fi rst reading with the second one. If the difference between
the 2 readings exceeds 0.2 degree, perform a new calibration of the unit
2. Calibration
2.1 Start the level; place it on a horizontal surface, more or less 3° from the horizontal plan.
The level calibration is impossible on a surface whose angle exceeds 3° compared with the
horizontal plan.
2.2 Press the CALIBRATE button by keeping it pressed, CAL 1 displays. Then, the degree
or percentage of the slope displays and fl ashes. Turn the level by 180° then press again
the CALIBRATE key by maintaining it down, CAL 2 displays. Then the degree or percentage
of the slope displays without fl ashing.
Then, the level is calibrated.
