De-scaling

In hard water areas limescale can build up within the appliance after prolonged use. For best taste and

extended appliance life, de-scale it regularly. Nisbets Essentials recommend de-scaling your unit every 3

months or more frequently in hard water areas.

To de-scale the appliance:

1.  Turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power

supply.

2.  Remove the cleanser inlet cap. Then pour a solution of

de-scaler and water into the appliance via the inlet.

Cleanser inlet cap

Note: Always use a suitable de-scaler and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the length of time

required to soak, water temperature and on how to dispose of the solution safely.

3.  Drain the solution and discard safely.

4.

Re-start the appliance and let it run 2 or 3 boiling cycles to flush out the system and remove any de-scaler

residue. Empty the appliance afterwards.

5.  The appliance is now ready for use.

IMPORTANT: Failure to de-scale or maintain will invalidate your guarantee.
