BEFORE MACHINE START-UP
1. Make sure that there are no open doors/hoods and that the
machine is in normal operating conditions.
2. If the machine has not been used after being transported,
check that all the blocks used for the transportation have
been removed.
3. Check that side and main brooms are installed, otherwise
install them (see the procedure in Maintenance chapter).
4. If necessary, remove the cap (4) and refuel the machine.
CAUTION!
Do not fill the fuel tank beyond the upper limit
mark (A, Fig. 1).
5. Adjust the handlebar (10) as necessary, by opening the
lever (11).
When the adjustment is completed, close the lever.
STARTING AND STOPPING THE MACHINE
Starting the machine
1. Open the fuel tap (A, Fig. 2) by introducing the hand into
the compartment (6).
2. Turn the engine choke lever (starter) (A, Fig. 3) to “closed”
position (B) by introducing the hand into the compartment
(6).
NOTE
Do not close the choke lever if the engine is hot and
if the air temperature is sufficiently high.
3. Insert the ignition key (2) on the control panel and turn it to
“I” without pulling the drive control lever (8).
4. Pull slowly the engine pull-start cord handle (5) until a
certain resistance is achieved; then pull suddenly and
strongly and start the engine.
CAUTION!
Do not allow the handle (5) to return strongly but
bring it back to its position slowly, to prevent the
starting system from being damaged.
CAUTION!
When starting the engine with the handle (5) do
not pull the drive control lever (8).
When the machine starts, the main broom (27) and the
vacuum fan (48) turn on.
WARNING!
The engine cannot be started with the handle (5)
when the hopper (14) is not its position. A safety
system prevents it from starting.
5. 5 seconds after the engine has been running, disengage
the engine choke lever (starter) (A, Fig. 3).
6. Lower the side brooms (18) and (19, optional), by pulling
the levers (12) and (13, optional) backwards.
NOTE
The side brooms turn on when lowered and can be
lowered and lifted even when the machine is moving.
7. Start sweeping by grasping the handlebar (10) and pulling
the drive control lever (8) gradually.
