BATTERY INSTALLATION AND BATTERY TYPE SETTING (WET OR GEL/ AGM)
According to the type of batteries (WET or GEL/AGM), set the machine and electronic board of the battery charger
as follows:
Machine setting
1.
Turn the ignition key (54) to “I” and in the very first seconds of machine operation pay attention to the following:
•
If the green warning light (53) is flashing, the machine is set to GEL/AGM.
•
If the red warning light (51) is flashing, the machine is set to WET.

If the setting need to be changed, perform the following procedure..

The factory setting is for GEL/AGW batteries. If the setting correspond to the battery installation, go to step7
directly. Otherwise, follow next steps4~6.

Remove the screws on control panel (C, Figure 4), then turn over the PCB (A, Figure 4) to find the DIP switch
(B,Figure4) for setting battery type(WET or GEL/AGM).
5.
Turn the DIP switches to “WET” position for wet batteries installed.
6.
If the setting complete to the battery option. Install the screws on control panel.

7.
Open the recovery tank cover (1) and check that the recovery tank (25) is empty; otherwise empty it with the drain
hose. (22)
8.
Close the recovery tank cover (1).
9.
Overturn the recovery tank (25) carefully.
10.
The machine is supplied with cables suitable to install 2×12 V batteries. Carefully put the batteries into the
compartment, then install them correctly.
11.
Route and install the battery cable as shown in (Figure3), then carefully tighten the nut on each battery terminal.
12.
Place the protection cap on each terminal, then connect the battery connector (38).
13.
Carefully lower the recovery tank (25).

14.
Charge the batteries. (See procedures in maintenance chapter).
