34 - Scrub System
Functional Description
The scrub system is enabled when the machine is
turned on
The cylindrical brush rotates in the direction of travel
machine
The rotating scrub system cleans/washes the sur
-
face of the floor. The area where brushes suitable for
cleaning the particular type of floor are installed is
the main part of the scrub system
When the brush is coupled to the drive hub, it is con-
nected to the motor via a toothed belt inside the left-
hand casing
Brush rotation occurs only when the brush motor
(M1) is driven by the main machine controller after
the machine is started up
The scrub system uses the solution to wash the floor.
The knob on the right-hand side of the machine body
regulates the pressure of the brush on the ground
Turning it clockwise increases pressure (+), counter-
clockwise decreases it (-)
A perforated tank, positioned behind the brush, col-
lects small and medium sized debris picked up by the
brush
In the event of brush motor overload, a safety system
stops the brushes after about 25 seconds of continu-
ous overload
The overload is detected by the Main machine control-
ler (EB1) by monitoring the current flow to the brush
motor Operation of the brush motor overload protec-
tion system is indicated by all 6 battery LEDs flash
-
ing simultaneously on the main control board
To start work again after a brush stop due to over-
load, turn the machine off and then on again
To work properly, the brush motor (M1) needs the fol-
lowing:
• Brush function on
• At least one of the two handlebar sensors acti-
vated
•
Sufficient battery charge level: at least one LED
on flashing.
The brush motor (M1) is stopped if it turn for 60 sec-
onds (even if not continuously) during the water sen-
sor (S3) is not sensing the solution presence
To restore the brush motor turn or to reset the 60 sec-
onds counter, switch off and on the machine
