Self-timer
The camera releases the shutter when the set number of seconds elapses after you
press the shutter-release button.

(10 seconds): Use on important occasions,
such as weddings.

(5 seconds, self-portrait timer): Use for self-
portraits.

If the setting is not applied by pressing the

button, the selection will be
canceled.

Frame the picture and press the shutter-release button halfway.

When using

(10 seconds) or

(2 seconds), make sure that the subjects
are in focus.
•
When using

5s
(5 seconds, self-portrait timer), press the shutter-release button all
the way down in step 4, and then frame the picture.

Countdown starts. The self-timer lamp
flashes and then glows steadily about
one second before the shutter is
released.

When the shutter is released, the self-
timer is set to
OFF

To stop the countdown, press the
shutter-release button again.
