Image Quality and Size
Image quality and size together determine the file size of pho-
tographs taken with the camera. This in turn determines how
many photographs can be stored on a single memory card.
The number of images that can be stored at different combina-
tions of image quality and size is illustrated in the following
tables:

How it works
Image Quality
To reduce memory requirements, images are compressed us-
ing JPEG compression, which can result in changes in image
quality. Image quality is set using the
