3  SAFETY

3.1  SAFETY DEVICES

Emergency stop switch (*)

The Emergency stop switch interrupts the functioning of the whole fruit processing line when pushed.

(*) It is located at the central command box (fruit processing line).

3.2  SAFETY MECHANISMS

Commands

The control panel is clearly visible, easily reachable at the central command box. The switches can be used just
for the purposes they are meant to.

Sudden black-out

In  case  of  a  sudden  blackout  changing  or  reconnecting  to  the  electric  network  the  machine  does  not  cause
dangerous situations such as:

a sudden start,

prevention of disconnection if there was already an order made,

improper operation of safety devices.

Stability of the machine

The machine is fitted on pivoting wheels and, therefore, mobile. Pivoting wheels are equipped with a double break
which prevents transversal and lateral moving. After placing the machine in the working space you must activate
the breaks.

Power supply

The  machine  has  a  regulated  grounding  of  all  built-in  electric  devices,  the  control  panel  and  an  overvoltage
protection with a safety contact switch.

3.3  SAFETY REGULATIONS

The owner of the machine must ensure:

that the safety regulations are available to the personnel operating the machine,

that  the  personnel  operating  the  machine  is  acquainted  with  the  safety  regulations  and  skilled  for  the
operation of the machine,

that the safety regulations are considered.

The  intervention  in  the  central  command  box  is  allowed  to  authorized  personnel  only.

Authorised

personnel perform the preventive maintenance work without intervention in the electric command box.

The  safety  regulations  from  the  manufacturer  are  only  the  basics  of  protection  from  dangerous
situations. An  efficient protection  from  dangerous  situations  is  not  only  about knowledge  regarding
them, but also putting them in practice.
