Optional ceramic filter
You may use the ceramic filter (P) in place of the microsponge. This component is
designed for intensive filtration, which removes a greater amount of material sediments
and requires a longer time to operate.
Rinse the ceramic filter in cold water for 1-2 minutes before use, or soak the filter in cold
water for approximately 10 minutes before installing it.
• To use the ceramic filter, remove the microsponge filter from the opening in the plate.
IMPORTANT:
You cannot use both prefilters at the same time.
• Attach the washer and the filter adapter to the ceramic filter.
• Place the ceramic filter ring seal in the opening in the plate.
• Place the ceramic filter upright (with the dome upward) on top of the plate, and from
underneath the plate tighten the nut.
• Replace plate on top of water tank cover.
The ceramic filter may require up to five hours to complete the filtration of an entire tank
of water.
REFILLING THE TANK
Do not overfill the unit. If the lower (supply) tank is
2
/

full, do not fill the upper (fill) water
tank more than halfway. Overfilling the tank may cause the unit to overflow.
MAINTENANCE
Keep the PiMag
™
Aqua Pour
™
Gravity Water System away from direct sunlight.
Hand wash the water tanks periodically (approximately once a month) to keep them clean
and free of deposits. You may use a mild detergent or soap. When cleaning the unit,
do
not
use a scrubber or paper towels, which may result in scratches on the surface. Use a
soft cloth to dry.
The microsponge filter and ceramic filter may be washed if they become discolored or
water flow is reduced. Wash in cold water only.
Do not boil the filter cartridge. Clean only by rinsing in cold water.
FILTER REPLACEMENT
The microsponge filter must be replaced if its surface becomes permanently discolored or
hardened.
The filter cartridge should be replaced after six months of normal use, or after 2,000 liters
have been filtered, whichever comes first. Cartridge life will vary, depending on amount of
use and water quality. See the recommended replacement intervals in the Specifications
section.
