4.6 Operation Method
Do not allow children or animals to enter the working range of the hedge
trimmer within 50 ft (15 m).
The
hedge trim
mer must only be started and operated by one person.
* Operation by more than one person increases the likelihood of mishandling and
resulting injury.
When using multiple hedge trimmers at the same time, each operator must be at least within 50 ft (15 m)
away from the others.
The following shows examples of use of the hedge trimmer.
■ Holding Method of hedge trimmer

Always hold the hedge trimmer with both hands
during operation.
To prevent injury due to inappropriate operation,
always support the hedge trimmer steady during
operation by holding as follows.
Right hand: Control grip.
Left hand: Loop handle.
(This also applies to left-handers.)

Always keep the machine away from your body.
●
Do not over-reach during the operation. Your arm
gets tired, losing control.
●
Adjust the angle of the cutter bar to hold the hedge
trimmer at a less-tiring position. Use the harness.
