6.3.5 Testing the device network setting
After completing up to step 13 of "6.3.4. Setting the device transmission (Page 91)" in the previous
section and rebooting, enter the parameter screen.
Press the network test button for one second or
more. The screen display becomes darker while
testing.
The following message appears on the screen indicating that the test was normally complete.
See the following table for the error message contents.

Network test was successful
“Network test is complete normally” appears on the screen indicating the
test result was normal.
Network test was failed
An error message appears on the screen indicating the test result was ab-
normal.
The settings including the shared folder setting of the receiver computer
may be incorrect. Check the parameter settings and set them again correct-
ly.
Message Description
DHCP error
No response from the DHCP server.
Check the DHCP server or set the IP address, subnet mask, and
default gateway manually.
Shared file access error
Shared folders cannot be found on the computer side.
Confirm that the folder name on the device side is the same as
that on the computer side.
Network access error
The device cannot be connected to the network.
Check the network cable connection or the IP address, subnet
mask, and default gateway settings.
File save error
Files cannot be saved in the shared folder.
Confirm that the shared folder is not write-protected.
Network configuration error The domain and user name are not correct.
Connection limit error
The number of connectable shared folders has been exceeded.
If available, increase the number of connectable shared folders
or retry to connect to the network after a short wait.
Password error
The password is not correct.
Confirm that the user name is correct. Enter the password again.
