 Variable Speed Motor/Control

recommended maintenance

WARNING

!

Before performing any maintenance,

disconnect the power, allow the motor to come to a
complete stop and wait five minutes. This will allow the
control capacitors to safely discharge any residual voltage.

Periodically inspect the installation. Check for dirt
accumulations, unusual noises or vibration, overheating,
worn or loose couplings, high motor amps, poor wiring
or overheated connections, and for loose mounting bolts
or guards.

Remove dirt accumulation, particularly in and around
the ventilation openings on the motor by vacuuming.
Dirt accumulations can cause motor overheating and
a fire hazard.

Do not use any type of solvents! Some solvents may
attack the motor insulation, finish or bearing lubricants.
Solvents are also highly flammable.

This motor uses ball bearings which are permanently
lubricated. No maintenance is required.
