tem first tests the port previously used.
At this point, the system searches for the type of device connected to a control pan-
el (connected directly with the HSA01 cable) or to the HSMO modem.
The indicators in the figure below change colour according to the type of connection
present:
- In the case of a direct connection to a control panel, the “Control panel” indicator is
green and the “HSMO” indicator is red;
- In the case of a connection via modem, both indicators are green.
4.2.1 - HSMO Setup
This window enables the selection of the type of telephone connection used:
- Select “ dedicated line ” if only the modem is present on the telephone line; in this
case, the modem answers on the first ring.
- Select “ traditional line ” if the line is also used for normal phone calls or faxes. In
this case, the modem requires a repeated call to answer. The first call enables the
modem to answer the second call, which must be made within the set waiting time
(16 seconds set as default).
