4 - BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Caution! – Never use battery types different from the specified version. The bat-
teries must be replaced all together (with new ones). Do not combine batteries of
different brands or models. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
Caution! – Before releasing the detector from the mounting bracket, the control
unit must be set to “CONTROL UNIT TEST” mode to avoid improper tampering
alarm signals.

To release the detector from the mounting bracket, use the special attachment lever
(
fig. 5
).

Slide the detector upwards by approx. 5 mm to move it away from the mounting
bracket (
fig. 5
).
03.
Open the battery compartment as shown in
fig. 7
and replace the batteries.
Observe
the specified polarity.
04.
Close the battery compartment and attach HSDIM23 to its mounting bracket (
fig. 5
).
5 - DISPOSAL
Disposal of the product
All devices in the alarm system are an integral part of the installation and must be disposed
of as a whole. As in installation operations, at the end of the products' lifespan, decommis-
sioning operations must be performed by qualified personnel.
These products are made of various types of materials: some of them can be recycled,
while others must be disposed of. Find out about recycling and disposal systems in use in
your area for this product category.

Some parts of the products may contain polluting or hazardous substances
which, if released into the environment, may cause serious damage to the environment or
to human health.
As indicated by the adjacent symbol, it is strictly forbidden to dispose of these
products together with domestic waste.
Separate the waste into categories for disposal, according to the methods
established by current legislation in your area, or return the products to the
retailer when purchasing a new version.

Local regulations may include the application of serious fines in the event of
improper disposal of these products.
Disposal of batteries
Caution! – The batteries used in this alarm system, even when discharged, con-
tain polluting substances and therefore must not be disposed of as household
waste. Dispose of according to separate waste collection procedures as envis-
aged by current local standards.
