Captive Portal Settings
For the “Captive Portal ” setting (see Table 2-9 on page 2-10 ), the Captive Portal screen allows you
to redirect URLs and configure authentication.
Table 2-13 shows the Captive Portal settings.

Field Descriptions
Redirect URL The URL to be used to redirect the users. You can select HTTP or HTTPS.
Authentication URL The URL to perform user authentication. You can select HTTP or HTTPS.
Access Timeout The allowed access time. When access times out, users are redirected to the
Redirect URL.
Pass-through IPs The IPs that users can go to without redirection control.
Authorized MAC
Addresses The list of MAC addresses for which the authentication and redirection are
bypassed. This option is particularly useful when devices do not have browser
capability, such as wireless VoIP phones.
