12. SAFETY GUIDELINES  

 

Any  rotating  or  moving  parts  of  the  laminator  and  parts  under  electrical  power  may 
cause severe or even fatal injuries. Installation, wiring, putting into service as well as 
maintenance and repairs may be performed by qualified and trained personnel only. 

 

The laminator may only be operated only by persons older than 18 years of age, mentally 

and physically fit, duly instructed (with their knowledge verified) and authorised to operate 
the laminator. 

 

 

More  demanding  repairs  and  any  work  on  the  laminator’s  electrical  installation  may  be 
performed only by an appropriately qualified person or by the manufacturer. 

 

 

Laminator  operators  and  maintenance  workers  must  be  well  acquainted  with  these  User 
Instructions 

 

 

 

Any adjustments, maintenance and cleaning of the laminator must be performed while the 
laminator  is  idle,  the  main switches  turned  off  and  the  machine  disconnected  from  power 
mains.    

 

 
 

 
 

 
 

 

Start the laminator only when the covers are attached.       

 

 

Never touch any moving parts of the laminator.   

 

 

Safety instructions - Pictograms - to be attached legibly to the laminator.  

 

 

Work only under good lighting conditions.   

 

 
 

 
 

 
 

 

Before starting work, check the safety devices on the laminator and ensure that they operate 
correctly.   

  

 

Never work with the laminator when you feel tired.   

 

 

 

Damaged  parts  at  the  laminator  may  only  be  replaced  by  authorised  personnel.  Use  only 
original parts.   

 

 

Turn off the laminator in case of strong vibration, noise or other unusual signs and inform the 
supervisor. 

 

Do not wear loose clothing (e.g. tie) or long hair to prevent it from getting between the rollers 

of the laminator.  

 

 

 

Always stand firmly on the floor when working with the laminator.  

 

 

Take special care after switching on the laminator and starting up the rollers.  

 

 

Switch  off  the  unit  immediately  and  inform  the  supervisor  in  case  of  damage  to  the 

insulation, smell of burning or loud noise during work on the laminator, if the machine jerks 
after switching on, if individual parts of the electrical system are overheated, if sparks occur 
or if current flow is felt.   

 

 

 

 

If  such  hazards  occur  or  if  danger  arises  for  the  operator,  switch  off  the  laminator  by 

pressing the emergency STOP switch.     

 

 

If  someone  detects  that  the  operator  of  the  lamnator  is  at  risk,  they  can  actuate  the 

emergency STOP switch.  

 

 

 

 

After  finishing  work  on  the  laminator,  lift  the  upper  roller,  switch  off  the  laminator  and 

disconnect the power supply.
