Clean measurement surfaces. Insert mea-
suring head in ring gauge. Rotate ratchet
three revolutions so that the gauge slides
are firmly fitted along the entire length.
Loosen lock screw with a hex
Allen key.
Rotate the sleeve until the sleeve reference
line is consistent with the "0" scale line of the
thimble. Adjust the sleeve in axial direction
so that the scale value is consistent with the
nominal value of the ring gauge.
Use the hex Allen key to fix the lock
screw in place at the set position.
Checking of internal micrometer
Clean the internal micrometer and the ring gauge; insert the measuring head in the ring gauge and rotate the ratchet three revolutions so that the gauge slides are firmly
fitted along the entire length. Compare scale indication with the nominal dimension of the ring gauge. The internal micrometer has to be re-adjusted unless the measurement
scale is consistent with the nominal dimension of the ring gauge.
Zero position adjustment
Measurement procedure
Insert the measuring head into the hole; rotate the ratchet three revolutions so that the gauge slides are firmly fitted along the entire length. Read measured value on scale.
Reading the scale
(example)
Measured value: 15.715 mm
Measured value: 12.285 mm
Care of instrument
We recommend using a suitable product to protect the measurement surfaces and the ring gauge against corrosion after use.
