4.1.6 W_DISABLE# for Mini-PCIe Sockets

Nuvo-3100 series feature two mini-PCIe sockets and one mSATA socket for function

expansion. According to PCI Express Mini Card Specification Rev. 2.0, two signals,

W_DISABLE1# and W_DISABLE2#, are defined to enable/disable radio operation of

add-on modules. Nuvo-3100 BIOS provides user-configurable options to control the

W_DISABLE# signals for each mini-PCIe/mSATA socket. Please note that most mini-PCIe

modules support PCI Express Mini Card Specification Rev. 1.2 only and therefore

To configure W_DISABLE# for each mini-PCIe/mSATA socket:

1.  When Nuvo-3100 boots up, press F2 to enter BIOS setup utility.

2.  Go to [Advanced]

 [Mini-PCIe Configuration]

3.  Set the [W_DISABLE1#] and [W_DISABLE2#] to a proper value according to your

application.

Note

1.

As most mini-PCIe modules support PCI Express Mini Card Specification Rev. 1.2 only, we

suggest to set [W_DISABLE1#] as [High] and [W_DISABLE1#] as [Low] to minimize

compatibility issue.
