Adjusting flame size and temperature (fig. 3)
Gas valve wheel (fig. 1b) allows setting the flame size and temperature.
Turn the wheel left to reduce the flame size and temperature. Turn
the wheel right to increase the flame size and temperature.
Extinguishing the flame
Turn the gas valve wheel (fig. 1b) left to extreme position to shut off
supply of gas to the nozzle. That will cause flame to decay. At the
same time the gas valve wheel returns to OFF position and locks.
Soldering
The microtorch features soldering tip (fig. 1d). It allows using the
microtorch as a soldering torch.
To use soldering tip: (fig. 4)
- Ensure the microtorch nozzle (fig. 1a) is not hot.
- Turn left to unscrew the nozzle
- Install soldering tip (fig. 1d) in place of the nozzle
- Release the gas valve wheel lock (fig. 1b) by lifting.
- Turn the gas walve of the microtorch (fig. 1b) by ¼ of a turn towards
(ON) (you will hear characteristic hissing of the gas coming out).
- Direct soldering tip (fig. 1d) away from yourself.
- Light up gas coming out of the soldering tip.
In approximately 10 seconds after ignition, the soldering tip reaches
temperature that allows to solder(fig. 5). When the soldering gun
is used for the first time, it is recommended to thoroughly cover
soldering tip with zinc for easier operation.
Once the soldering tip is hot, touch soldered spot with it and apply
flux cored zinc solder wire to join two elements. After the soldering
tip is removed, the solder hardens and creates permanent joint.
Do not dispose of electrically powered products with household
wastes, they should be utilized in proper plants. Obtain information
on wastes utilization from your seller or local authorities. Used up
electric and electronic equipment contains substances active in
natural environment. Unrecycled equipment constitutes a potential
risk for environment and human health.
