Setting Spring Pressure
Required tools: NCD+ Weld gun, chuck and foot per application, NCD+ Set-Up Tool (Figure 4.3
Contact Gun with NCD+ Set-Up Tool #525-001-200) or flat bladed screwdriver

Appendix B Spring Pressure Chart
for the recommended spring pressure.

With a flat bladed screwdriver or NCD+ Set-Up Tool, turn adjustment screw on the back of the
weld gun to the recommended spring pressure.

Adjust stud stick out.

Loosen leg screws.

Insert stud in chuck

Place NCD+ Set-Up Tool on a flat surface and insert stud into Contact Mode hole.

Do not compress the spring.

Adjust foot until tripod foot or spark shield are flat on top of NCD+ Set-Up Tool. Do not insert
tripod standoffs into holes on tool.
9
Tighten leg screws to lock tripod foot or spark shield in place.
