4 Preparation for Measurement

4.3
Initialising the vertical circle
Following the alignment in accordance with the
procedure described above, the vertical circle of
the theodolite must be initialised (observe
information shown in the display).
To initialise the telescope, turn the telescope
slowly in both directions until the message ("SET
0") disappears and the angle display for the
vertical measurement is shown.
The unit is now ready for operation.
After switching on the instrument and initialising
the vertical circle, a display similar to the
illustration on the left appears.

Setting/Changing the date and time display
1.) At the switched off unit, simultaneously press the two keys and ,
and then press the key. Release the key when all the segments are visible in
the display. After
ADJ2
has appeared in the display, release + also.
The year now flashes in the display.
2.) Press the key to switch between: year – month – day – hour – minute.
3.) Press the key to increase the value and press the key to reduce the value.
4.) To save the settings, press .
