To ease the removal of the heat sink from the CPU socket;, you might consider to disconnect LCD 

cable before lifting up the heat sink..  

9.  Use a flat screwdriver to unlock the CPU from the CPU socket and carefully lift up the 

CPU and put it in a safe place.
