Storage Device Installation

The system comes with one free 3 1/2-inch device slot and two free 5 1/4-inch device slots. See the following 
procedures to add a storage device:

"Installing a 3 1/2-Inch Device"

"Installing a 5 1/4-Inch Device."

Installing a 3 1/2-Inch Device

Use the following procedure to install a 3 1/2-inch device.

Follow the preinstallation instructions that came with the device, such as setting jumpers and switches.

Remove the system unit cover.

To access the rear internal drive slot, remove the power supply from the system as follows:

At the back of the system, locate and remove the four power supply screws.

Carefully lift the power supply out of the system unit. If necessary, label and disconnect any cables that do not 
reach outside the unit.
