Problems with Express Setup
Data on the peripheral HDD was erased during the Express Setup.

Is there any HDD other than the HDD to install OS attached?

Detach external HDD(s) and run the Express Setup again.
Cannot configure the details of network adapter.
→
You cannot configure the details of network adapter during setup of NEC Express5800/ft
servers.
You can configure this after the startup of Windows.
Product key was not asked.

Case of Windows Server 2008 R2
→
If you install using BackUp DVD-ROM, product key is not required.
If you install using the DVD-ROM other than BackUp DVD-ROM, product key screen is
displayed “before [MICROSOFT SOFTWARE LICENSE TERMS] dialog, which
displayed after OS installation.”
Enter product key following the message.
When IIS is installed with Windows Server 2008 R2 by Express Setup, following feature is
installed.

– Process Model
– Configuration APIs
†
Remote Server Administration Tool
– Role Administration Tools
– Web Server (IIS) Tools

The feature listed above is activated because they are required for the installation of IIS
basic feature.
