Driver/Firmware Setup
The firmware/driver applied to this product at the time of shipment is the latest version available at the
time of shipment.
Therefore, if you wish to add this product to a system environment that is already in operation, you will
need to update the firmware of the product as necessary before using it.
Also, depending on the version of Starter Pack applied to the system environment, the optimal
firmware for this product may not be included in some cases.
Please check the "Updating Firmware/Drivers to Match the System Environment" attached to this
product and update the firmware/driver.
The driver of this product is included “Starter Pack” of EXPRESS SERVER. “Starter Pack” is published on NEC
web site. Starter Pack can be downloaded from NEC's support site.
In addition, the driver may be temporarily released. Check the support information of this site and apply it as
necessary.
Firmware is also included in the Starter Pack, so please apply it as necessary.

NOTE:
To apply the driver / firmware, start Starter Pack and select the "Integrated installation" menu.
Update the driver and firmware at the same time (recommended)
Update the firmware with Starter Pack when adding boards or replacing them with maintenance parts.
To update the firmware, start the SPP (Standard Program Package) on Starter Pack.
Select and update according to the product model number of the line whose "type" column is "Firmware",
refer to the following,

or HPE Broadcom NetXtreme-E Firmware Package
The firmware update is applied to all the same type boards mounted on the server / the same series of chip
mounting boards.
If the firmware on the board is newer than that of Starter Pack, it will not be updated automatically.
It is possible to forcibly downgrade. (Please activate the slide switch written as forced on the screen)
After updating the firmware, turn the server AC power off and then on again.
