Around the Bottom of the System
The bottom of the NEC MobilePro offers the features shown in the
following figure. Features are described after the figure.
Features on the bottom of the system
A – Battery Lock Button
D – Battery Release Button
B – Backup Battery Cover Screw
E – Soft Reset Button
C – Backup Battery Cover
F – Speaker

Battery Lock Button — Locks and unlocks the main battery for
securing the battery in its bay or for releasing the battery.
Note
You cannot use your MobilePro when the battery lock is in
the unlocked position. The system displays an error message.

Battery Release Button — Allows you to release and remove the
main battery (when the lock button is in the unlocked position).

Backup Battery Cover Screw — Secures the backup battery cover.
Use a coin, for example, a quarter, to release and secure the screw.

Backup Battery Cover — Provides access to the backup battery
socket and battery. See “Installing the Backup Battery” in
Chapter 1 to install the backup battery.
