Screen Brightness value using the Auto Dimming function

Brightness level set for

conditions (determined by
user in procedure 3)
If the user wants to use the “Auto Dimming” function, the following
procedure is needed.
1. Select “1” in the following OSM (Figure 1) to adjust the brightness level
of the monitor for when the light within the room is at its brightest.
2. Adjust the “BRIGHTNESS” to a setting desired for when the room is
brightly lit (Figure 2).
3. Select “2” to set the brightness level of the monitor
for when the ambient light within the room is at its darkest (Figure 1.
4. Adjust the “BRIGHTNESS” to a setting desired for when the room is
dimly lit (Figure 3).
5. When the “Auto Dimming” function is enabled the Brightness level
of the screen changes automatically according to the lighting
conditions of the room. (Figure 4).

BRIGHTNESS range
Lb : Border between bright and dim lighting conditions; set at factory
L1 : Ambient bright value when user sets “Brightness” in procedure 2 (L1>Lb)
L2 : Ambient bright value when user sets “Brightness” in procedure 3 (L2<Lb)
The brightness of the screen can be set to increase or decrease depending
on the ambient light within the room. If the room is bright, the monitor
is correspondingly bright. If the room is dim, then the monitor will dim
accordingly. The purpose of this function is to make the viewing experience
more comfortable in a variety of lighting conditions.
The "Auto Dimming" function is set to OFF by default.
